Appendix 19 Telegram to HQ about labourers Date Julio 10 1909 Reduction in personnel due to expulsion of one hundred and thirty incompetent, useless, rebellious and subversive labourers. I have request new ones to make up work force.
This telegram is clearly in reply to a request for explanation of a noticeable reduction in the numbers of men at work on the site reported without comment in one of the weekly reports. It certainly doesn't mince its words describing the men dismissed. 29-7-12 |
